There is a good selection of shops, hotels, restaurants and other amenities in Wester Ross easily accessible from Cove. This page gives just a brief taste.
Inverasdale
The next village down the road from Cove. Here you'll find the closest 'convenience store' stocking a wide choice of items.
Poolewe
Adjacent to the famous Inverewe Gardens, Poolewe has a number of shops, including a bakery, post office and an outdoor shop. It also has a small public swimming pool and a number of hotel/restaurants.
Gairloch
Most people at some stage will head towards Gairloch, which has an excellent range of amenities including shops, small supermarket, garage, bank, hotels and restaurants. There is a 9-hole golf course and a sports/leisure complex.
Further afield
Inverness is approximately 2 hours drive away. It is the 'capital' of the Highlands and offers extensive shopping, recreational and leisure facilities.
About 90 minutes drive away is Ullapool, the well-known fishing port and ferry terminal with the regular crossings to the Outer Hebrides.
